Agenda: 2021 Agenda July 8
Mayor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Mayor Smith and Council members Walter, Bonus and Dandoy were present. Councilman Smith joined via Zoom. The pledge of allegiance to the flag followed an invocation given by Rev. Kimberly van Driel, First English Lutheran Church.
PRESENTATIONS:
Tim Morgus, Maher Duessel, presented and reviewed the 2020 Single Audit. Mr. Morgus also reviewed the Covid ARPA procedures. Maher Duessel will provide assistance for calculating the City’s loss of revenue from the pandemic.
Motion by Mayor Smith to approve the agenda for the regular meeting of July 8, 2021. Second by CM Bonus.
CM Walter made a motion to add a motion to open a new account for the Covid ARPA grant funds. Second by Mayor Smith. All voted aye.
All voted aye. Agenda amended.
Motion by Mayor Smith to approve the minutes regular meeting of June 24, 2021. Second by CM Dandoy. All voted aye.
COUNCIL REPORTS/ACTIONS
Councilman Smith
1.Motion to approve the use of the Farmer’s Market by the Community Cat Network for a Spay and Neutering Cat Clinic to be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 and waive the rental fee. Second by CM Bonus. All voted aye.
2.Motion to approve an addendum to the Summer Recreation program agreement with Grace Youth and Family Foundation to provide an enhanced food program at a cost of $1,500. Second by Mayor Smith. All voted aye.
Councilman Bonus
3.Motion to draft an agreement to develop an Equipment/Operator Sharing Agreement with the Butler Area Sewer Authority. Second by Mayor Smith. All voted aye.
4.Motion to accept the bid from Bauer Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $5,470.00 for the removal of trees and debris from Sullivan Run. Second by CM Dandoy. All voted aye.
Councilman Dandoy
5.Motion to make the second prepayment in the amount of $432,203.97 to Glick Fire Equipment Company for the Chassis for the Pierce 100’ Mid Mount Tower on an Arrow XT. Second by Mayor Smith. All voted aye.
6.Motion to approve the City’s participation with the Butler County Federated Library System to apply for a Keystone Grant. Second by Mayor Smith. All voted aye.
The City Controller presented bills for payment as follows: from the general fund – $622,922.37; from the parking fund – $5,267.73; and from the liquid fuels tax fund – $2,017.62; for a grand total of $630,207.72. Motion by Mayor Smith with second from CM Bonus to approve payment of bills as presented. All voted aye.
Councilman Walter
7.Motion to open an account a new account for the Covid ARPA grant funds. Second by Mayor Smith. All voted aye.
Mayor Smith adjourned the meeting at 8:13 PM.
