Councilman Bratkovich
- Motion to terminate the agreement between the Butler Area School District and the City of Butler that was entered into on December 19, 2002 due to a new taxing commission. Second by CM Schontz. All voted aye.
Councilman Schontz
- Motion to direct the City Clerk to prepare and release an RFP for refuse collection for the years 2012 through 2014. Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
- Motion to approve payment to Ken Reilly Contracting in the amount of $7,200.00 for the demolition of 226 Franklin Street, upon final inspection and approval of the Code Enforcement Officer. LIN 18 427 221 Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
- Motion to approve payment to Ken Reilly Contracting in the amount of $7,400.00 for the demolition of 522 West New Castle Street, upon final inspection and approval of the Code Enforcement Officer. LIN 18 427 221 Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
- Motion to approve a block party at the 200 block of West Fulton Street on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 2:00 PM until dark. Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
- Motion to authorize the City Treasurer to refund $200.00 to Loyal Order of Moose, Butler Lodge #64, for amusement devices, due to changes in Ordinance #1641 that was adopted in May. Second by CM Reese. All voted aye.
- Motion to reappoint Michael Preston, Kent Bowen and Robert Dandoy to the Zoning Hearing Board for a three year term ending on June 30, 2014. Second by Mayor Stock. All voted aye.
- Motion to approve payment in the amount of $22.34 for the City of Butler’s share in the cost of the website for the BAMM Oversight Committee. Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
- Motion to award the WISR Way storm sewer repair to Bauer Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $9,958.00. Capital Projects 18-430-436 Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
10. Motion to pass City Resolution No. 2011-07-28; adopting the Butler County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Second by Mayor Stock. All voted aye.
11. Motion to pass City Resolution No. 2011-07-28 A-F; authorizing Mayor Stock to sign an Agreement between the City of Butler and PennDOT for the paving of alleys. Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
Mayor Stock
Dirk Matanok and Jonathon Lex have been appointed to the Shade Tree Commission to replace Joan Chew and Van Peterson in accordance with provisions of Chapter 220 of the City Code.
Congratulation to the Butler Downtown for being designated as an accredited National Main Street Program for the second year in a row.
The City Clerk, in the absence of the City Controller, presented bills for payment as follows: from the general fund – $352,942.64; from the capital projects fund – $15,087.64; and, from the liquid fuels tax fund – $5,745.64 for a grand total of $373,775.92. Motion by Mayor Stock with second from CM Schontz to approve payment of bills as presented. All voted aye.
