1. Motion for the adoption of City Ordinance No. 1653; an ordinance increasing the indebtedness of the City of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania by the issue of a General Obligation Note in the amount of $300,000.00 for the purpose of street paving. Second by CM Schontz. All voted aye.
2. Motion to appoint Jeff Smith to the Butler County Tax Collection Committee (BCTCC). Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.

3. Motion to approve City Resolution No. 2012-04-25A; a resolution for the Renewal of Certificate of Authority of the Butler County – City Connoquenessing Creek Flood Control Authority to extend its existence for an additional fifty (50) years. Second by CM Schontz. All voted aye.
4. Motion to appoint Dave Malarkey to the Butler County – City Connoquenessing Creek Flood Control Authority to fill the term of Ross Martin which expires December, 2013. Second by CM Schontz. All voted aye.
5. Motion for the first reading and introduction of City Ordinance No. 1654 extending the cable television franchise given to Armstrong Utilities, Inc. to provide cable, Internet and related services for the residents of the City of Butler for the period commencing August 23, 2021 through August 23, 2026. Second by CM Schontz. All voted aye.

Motion for the first reading and introduction of City Ordinance No. 1652 amending the City’s traffic control schedules contained in Chapter 245 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Butler by making permanent experimental regulations previously adopted by City Council on a 90-day trial basis. Second by CW Guard. All voted aye.
7. Motion to approve the conditional hiring of Jason Gallagher for the position of Truck Driver in the Streets Department. Second by CW Scott. All voted aye.
8. Motion to award the demolition of 118 Hilltop Avenue and 438-440 Isabella Street to A.P. Wise Excavating, LLC in the amount of $5,645.00 based upon the general specifications of the contract and the release by the City Solicitor. Second by CW Kline. All voted aye.
9. Motion to award the demolition of 406 Zeigler Avenue to A.P. Wise Excavating, LLC in the amount $4,200.00 based upon the general specifications of the contract and the release by the City Solicitor. Second by CW Scott. All voted aye.
10. Motion to approve payment to A.P. Wise Excavating in the amount of $11,330.00 for the demolition of 131-133 Morton Avenue and 247 Roosevelt Blvd. upon final inspection and approval of the Code Enforcement Officer. LIN 18 427 221 Second by CW Guard. All voted aye.

11. Motion to approve City Resolution No. 2012-04-25 obligating $19,500.00 of City revenues to the Butler Transit Authority for fiscal year 2012/2013. Second by CM Schontz. All voted aye.
12. Motion to open a new account at NexTier Bank to accept donations for the City of Butler K-9 Protection. Second by CW Scott. All voted aye.
13. Motion to appoint Fred Reese to the Butler Area Sewer Authority to fill the unexpired terms of Van Peterson which expires December, 2013. Second by CW Guard. Motion to table by CW Scott. Second by CW Kline. CW Scott, CW Kline and CM Schontz voted aye. CW Guard and Mayor Stock voted no. Motion tabled.
14. Motion to accept the Technical Assistance Proposal for Parking Rates & Collections Systems Project from the Local Government Academy. Second by CW Scott. All voted aye.
The City Treasurer presented Council with the Account Balance Report and the Monthly Intake Report for March, 2012.
The City Controller, presented bills for payment as follows: from the general fund – $231,664.69; from the capital projects fund – $300.00; and, from the liquid fuels tax fund – $83,460.31 for a grand total of $315,425.00. Motion by Mayor Stock with second from CM Schontz to approve payment of bills as presented. All voted aye.
