Hazardous Materials and Electronics Collection Days

Butler County has received DEP approval for our 2026 household hazardous waste collection events:

May 9 – 207 Ash Stop Road, Evans City
June 13 – 206 E. Water Street, Slippery Rock
August 29 – 157 E. Airport Road, Butler
November 7- 690 Valencia Road, Mars
Residents must pre-register at https://nobleenviro.com/drive-thru-collection/ or phone 412-567-6566
Residents in need of disposing of electronics, tires, Styrofoam, and freon-containing devices can register to drop off materials on April 25, in the parking lot of Karns City High School. This collection in Karns City is part of the County’s ongoing Hard To Recycle program conducted in partnership with Pennsylvania Resources Council. At this one-day Hard To Recycle collection event at Karns City High School, individuals can drop off electronics, tires, Styrofoam, and freon-containing appliances.Materials are recycled at a per-item fee. On-site payment is accepted via cash, check or card. Note: CPU (towers) and laptops are accepted at no cost.
