Real Estate Tax Information

The office of the City Treasurer is responsible for the collection of and accounting for all revenues received by the city.
The City Treasurer’s office also handles reservations and rental of Memorial Park shelters. More information can be found on the City Parks information page.
Accepted forms of payment are cash, check, money order, and cashier’s check. We do NOT accept electronic payments. Thank you.
Business Tax Information
New or relocated businesses in the City of Butler can apply for a temporary exemption from Business Privilege or Mercantile Tax per Ordinance No. 1664 (adopted 12/20/2012).

Rental Property/Landlords
All Butler City landlords must submit a rental occupancy form by January 31st of each year as well as within 30 days of a tenant moving into or out of the property.
This form may be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the City Treasurer.
