Members of the Parks Department maintain all City buildings, parks, and playgrounds.

City parks include:

  • Farther Marinaro Park – Kaufman Drive
  • Ritts Park – McKean Street
  • Rotary Park – W. Cunningham and S. Chestnut
  • Doughboy Park – New Castle Road

City playgrounds are located at:

  • Institute Hill Playground – Jefferson and 1st Street
  • South Side – Short Street
  • South Hills – E. Christie Avenue

Did you know the jeep was born here? Butler also hosts the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival, which in 2011 broke the Guinness World Record for most jeeps in a parade.
